Delete your Amara account.
We'll remove your profile, posts, comments, and messages, and give you 30 days to change your mind before anything becomes permanent.
From inside the app
The fastest way to delete your account is right inside Amara. It processes immediately.

Open the Amara app
Sign in if you aren’t already.

Go to Settings
From your profile tab, tap the menu icon in the top right.

Tap "Delete Account"
Scroll to the very bottom of Settings. It’s the last option, next to Log Out.

Confirm
Type DELETE to confirm. Your account enters a 30-day reversal window. Sign back in during that time to undo it.
Can't access the app?
If you've uninstalled Amara, can't sign in, or otherwise can't reach the in-app Settings, email our support team and we'll delete the account for you.
Send the request from the email address you used to sign up. Include the username on your account if you remember it. We usually process requests within two business days and reply once the deletion is queued.
What happens when you delete
Profile, posts, and messages are removed
Your profile, photos, videos, posts, comments, and direct messages disappear from public view in the app.
30-day reversal window
For about 30 days, signing back in undoes the deletion. After the window closes, it’s permanent.
Some signals remain
Direct messages you sent may stay visible in other users’ inboxes. Anonymized likes and views can persist in aggregate analytics.
Legal & safety records
We may retain limited records required by law, or related to safety, abuse, or fraud, for the time necessary for those purposes.
