The event isn’t what keeps you stuck. It’s the story you tell yourself about the event. Yes, the relationship ended. Yes, the business failed. Yes, you lost the job. Yes, it hurt. Don’t deny that. Accept that it happened. Acceptance isn’t giving up. It’s the moment you stop fighting reality long enough to actually learn from it. Then ask a better question. “What is this trying to teach me?” Every painful experience reveals the way you were operating. Maybe it exposed fear. Maybe it revealed scarcity. Maybe it showed you where you were seeking approval, control, or certainty outside of yourself. The lesson is the gift. Because once you can see the pattern, you no longer have to repeat it.
