Parallel Park in 6 Steps

   Find the right parking spot.

   Align your rear bumper with the parked car's rear bumper, about 2 ft away from it.

3. 3

   Turn the wheel toward the parked car and back up until you can see the rear car's number plate.

4. 4

   Straighten the wheel and back up until your front bumper passes the parked car's bumper.

5. 5

   Turn the wheel fully to the left and back up until you're squarely behind (or in front of) the parked car.

6. 6

   Straighten the wheel.
