Ingredients
- 1 lb 80/20 ground beef
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Minced garlic
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Mild cheddar, large cubes
- Shredded mozzarella
- 1 can biscuit dough
- 1 egg, whisked (for egg wash)
- Parmesan, freshly grated
- Garlic butter: 3 tbsp salted butter, melted
- Garlic butter: 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- Garlic butter: dried or fresh parsley
Steps
- 1Cook the ground beef on medium heat. Once browned, add the minced garlic and all the seasonings, stir for a minute, and set aside.
- 2Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- 3Stretch each biscuit into a 5-inch circle. Add two spoonfuls of seasoned beef, some mozzarella, and a cube of cheddar in the middle.
- 4Fold the dough around the filling, pinch the edges tightly to seal, and pull into a tight ball. Rest 5 minutes.
- 5Place seam side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with grated parmesan.
- 6Bake at 375°F for 15–18 minutes until deeply golden.
- 7Brush with the garlic butter, sprinkle more parmesan, and serve immediately.
Tips
Optional add-ins: caramelized onions, bacon. Use Pillsbury original flaky layers (red top) or similar biscuit dough.
