Clear a Clogged Bathroom Sink Drain

Steps

   Set a catch pan under the P-trap.

   Loosen the slip nuts on the trap.

   Pull the trap bend off and let the water and debris drain into the pan.

   Remove the trap arm from the wall stub-out and drain it too.

5. 5

   Feed a suction hose into the open stub-out to draw out what's sitting in the line.

   Fit a hose-fed pressure flush into the stub-out and run water through to clear it.

7. 7

   Wipe the joints, reassemble the trap arm and P-trap, and tighten the slip nuts.

   Run the tap — it drains clear.
